Hi, I’m Krysta.

IN THE SPIRIT OF SHARING… that’s my family there on the beach with me.

My rock-steady hubby of 20+ years, two busy, noisy teenagers & one German Short-haired Pointer who is even crazier than the kids.  We’re based in Amazing Albany on the South Coast of Western Australia & we all love the beach.

I am a “people photographer” with a passion for story-telling using emotive photos.

But that doesn’t make it any easier for me to get my family to agree to a portrait session, believe me!

It took bribery & corruption to get them to behave for this photo-shoot with my good friend & colleague, Nic Duncan.   But it was worth the struggle – I will forever treasure these photos.

So, yes, I know it will take a little bit of effort, but just do it!

You won’t regret it, I promise you.

Some of my personal favourite blog posts…

Some other stuff about me....

I really like lists!

I love...

Travel. I have an severe case of incurable wanderlust.

Colour. It makes me happy - you'll see that in my photos.

Indian cuisine. Actually, spicy curries of ANY nationality.

Bacon, dark chocolate & a good red.

Beaches, rugged coastlines, open paddocks & Karri forests.

Discovering little-known nooks & crannies that will bring a unique setting to your precious portraits

Going to see a movie on the BIG SCREEN

Unexpected daytime naps, in the sun by the ocean while reading a good book. The ultimate luxury!

Printed photos - as books or wall art or just in an old fashioned album. Soooo much better than sitting on our computers.

DOGS!!! All shapes & sizes!

I embrace...

Hard work. I bring everything with me to my jobs - my energy, my heart, my gut instinct, resourcefulness, spontaneity, determination, professionalism and passion.

Emotion. I make sure I shoot for, capture, and deliver emotion. (Yes, I will probably shed a happy tear at your wedding!)

Collaboration. My work is always enhanced when shooting with a team of other professionals who excel in their given specialties, especially the incredible wedding industry in our region.

Community. I could never have built & sustained a successful business without a strong community willing to stand behind me. As well as my family & friends & the tight-knit & supportive "geographic" community of the South Coast, I also treasure my network of other professional photographers who are spread throughout WA - collectively we embrace each other's talents and inspire each other (you know who you are, girls x).

Our Rosie, The Poser

I’m a dog-lover.

This is our 2nd German Short-haired Pointer, Rosie, with her “late” boyfriend.  (RIP Charlie.)

Rosie is the office assistant at Krysta Guille Photography. If you come for a meeting with me, you might meet her too.  I can’t resist a dog! If you have precious “fur-baby” in your family, I encourage you to bring them along.

Dogs are so good at photo sessions because:

  • Dogs help to bring the family together, gives them something to bond over, give them something to do, somewhere to focus their love.

  • Dogs always help their families to relax in front of the camera because they’ll inevitably do something stupid, will probably pull ridiculous faces for the camera.

  • Dogs know how to enjoy the simple things. They just make us smile!

  • They are a part of your family, so without them, your portrait’s really not complete!
