I LOVED this wedding!

It was a delight from start to finish. I was mesmerized by Tegan’s transformation from a laid-back gal to a 1950′s movie-star goddess.  I was transfixed by the elegance and significance of the Tea Ceremony. I was thrilled that the bridal party let their personalities shine through in my photos. And I was in awe of both Tegan and Bong’s connection with their families.  After all, isn’t that weddings are all about – a celebration of love.

I hope my photos along with Tegan’s words tell you the story of this special day….

Theme?

Hmmm- I suppose contemporary… we wanted to keep things simple but polished.

Dress/Accessories?

My dress was from Samantha Wynne- she is fantastic. She knows what looks nice and what doesn’t and most importantly her service is very personal. All her attention (and skills) are focused on you.  I kept my jewellery simple and used some drop pearl and diamond earrings Bong had made for me for Christmas a few years ago.  Shoes- Nat Sui on StyleTread. I made a lot of use of the internet for buying quite a lot for the wedding…

Hair and Makeup?

My hair was done by a local hairdresser, Colleen and her daughter Megan who were great. My cousin did my make up and my bridesmaids make up was done by Michelle from Belle by Van Buerle.

Wedding location?

Forest Hill with photos in the surrounding countryside, why… because its absolutely stunning! The view from the restaurant and surrounds is amazing not to mention the beauty of the forest.

Florist?

The awesome Cath from Hot House Flowers!

Your celebrant?

Kate Thomas.

Did everything go to plan?

That I can remember!

Special traditions?

We had a Chinese tea ceremony and my partner and his family are Chinese and we wanted to incorporate some of their traditions. Kate the celebrant and Forest Hill (and Krysta!) were all very accommodating with this request.

Memorable moment?

For me, probably walking down the aisle with both my parents, seeing all our family and friends together and Bong smiling away at the end of the aisle.

Favourite photo and why?

There’s a great one of the bridal party down the driveway of Forest Hill and we’re all hanging out with one of the bridesmaids Laura showing us her guns and we’re all just laughing and enjoying the moment- probably that one.

The party / reception?

‘Twas great! Everyone was dancing, having fun with some great music in the background.
