Today is Australia Day so for my “Family Friday” post, I’ve decided to share a recent shoot I did in a VERY Australian place – Jerramungup.
Like many relatively “remote” towns, the community spirit in Jerramungup is special – super strong – unbreakable in fact! One of the families who is clearly central to this tight community is the Carthew Family, with “Crow” and “Nan” Meryl having raised their three boys in this town. And now their grand-kids love to head out to the old farm for driving lessons, to chase emus and catch yabbies. They were all back in town this summer along with their own families so we had the opportunity to capture them all in a family photo.
And so proud they are of their home town, that they requested one in from on the entry sign! I LOVE this – so Aussie!
Here’s some photos from the extended family shoot and also Rod & Nikki’s girls who I have photographed regularly.
Happy Australia Day!
