Soooo …. my New Year Resolution for 2018 is to do a “wedding post” every Wednesday this year.
And here we are – our first Wednesday AND my 20th wedding anniversary too! What better post to be making than one about my most favourite wedding ever. MY wedding!
I am always telling my couples how important it is to have a wedding album. Today reminded me again how precious they are. Twenty years later, and our two teenage kids are enjoying the album with us (mostly enjoying ribbing their father about his sideburns!)
I was still 12 years away from a change of career at this point, but having studied photography at high-school, I was loving the “photojournalistic” wedding photography that was just starting to become popular at the time. So we booked (then Perth-based) talent Russell Barton (who is no longer shooting weddings) because I loved his balance of casual, candid captures with more creative portraits. In fact, even today, 20 years later with changes of trends, I reckon he had the balance just about perfect!
